@aleksa.bebel: I came to Gran Canaria to work on my master thesis in finance, thinking it would just be a quiet place to focus. But it turned out to be so much more than that. Most of my days are a mix of sitting with my laptop, working through my thesis, and then going out to explore. And what’s crazy is how different everything here looks. One day I’m walking through the dunes in Maspalomas, and it literally feels like a desert. Then another day I’m visiting places like Barranco de las Vacas, which looks like a canyon you’d expect somewhere completely different. It doesn’t even feel like the same island. What I really like about Gran Canaria is that you don’t have to choose between being productive and actually enjoying where you are. You can spend a few hours working, and then suddenly you’re in the mountains, or at the beach, or just watching the ocean. The nature here is just easy to access, and it doesn’t feel crowded or overwhelming. It’s a really nice balance. I came here to focus on my thesis, but at the same time I got to see some really beautiful places - dunes, mountains, beaches, and just overall nature that makes the whole experience feel a bit different.
