I watched Mind Game on shrooms and it was low-key life changing. I understood the narrative perfectly and it resonated in my soul

Now here is a guy who loves surrealism (my least favorite genre of film but I mess with persona, perfect blue, and kinda 8 1/2) lol

Perfect Blue is so amazing. It only gets better the more you watch it and the more you see it in society. RIP Satoshi Kon

Love 8 ½. I would also recommend the anime Paprika. Another mind-bending movie that I don’t think enough people are aware of is Upstream Color by the same guy who made Primer.

Darren Aronofsky actually used so much of Perfect Blue to influence Black Swan that he just bought the rights to it

Satoshi Kon is one of my favorite directors and artists ever. All his films and shows are amazing. We lost him way too early in his life. And yes Perfect Blue is a masterpiece. A creepy, beautiful masterpiece.
