This is if your using a China number we did 10 days in Shanghai and almost 6 now In Shenzhen and we use eSIMs but still using apps it doesn’t work so Alipay only can use at the restaurant or place of purchase

We have both the eSim and got the China mobile sim card to do this as well. We cannot order anything. We even asked the hotel staff and they were not able to sign in into our account, neither the lady from the China Mobile store could help us; so it doesn’t work for everyone sadly!
