left a miserable 9 year relationship and the beautiful house we'd just bought together. finished school and got my dream job. moved to the middle of nowhere like I've always wanted to do and built an awesome life with my dogs. I've never felt more peace in my entire life than I have on a daily basis here. I'll never cry over another heap of mold in a dirty dish buried under every other dish we own in the sink. I'll never tense up at another touch. I'll never have to pretend to be okay with someone I love picking through the things about me and throwing out everything they don't like. I'll never have to accept that the Christmas tree is going in some random location in the house instead of the front window because my opinion of how to decorate the house doesn't matter. I'll never have to be small and unimportant again. I'm free.

Personal story: I’ve been overweight all my life, finally hit my rhythm and was losing weight (med assisted). First time ever losing 50lbs. Got pregnant. Had to go off the medication, I maintained the weight loss throughout pregnancy but postpartum man 😭😭😭 back to my OG weight. It just felt so defeating. I put in so much effort the first time just to feel like I lost it in a year (not even a year the first 3 months postpartum). But I’m starting again 😁 officially but 20lbs, it’s a slower start than last time, more complex to stay disciplined but it’s working and I feel even better than I did the first time because I think hit a lower point than I’ve even been before.

you can't do it all by yourself though. a lot of the time you need that extra help. don't think you can do it all by yourself. because you can't. don't be afraid to have a support system.
