Somewhat of a tea expert here. Not telling u what to do but I watched u squeeze the tea bags when u took them out of the pot. NEVER EVER squeeze the bags. It will make the tea bitter as fuck. Also, if u bring the water to a boil then add your tea bags and shut it off, let sit for a few hours it stops the bitterness. Try it and I hope this helps.

The bitterness is from putting the hot tea in the sugar, it scorches it. Put sugar in after it cools. OR keep doing it like this!! I don’t give a shit

Well I’ll tell you what my English relatives tell me lol if you boil tea it get bitter you boil the water then take it off the heat put your tea bags in and let it steep that’s how I’ve always done it 🤷♀️

If you’ll not boil the tea, it won’t be bitter. Boil the water, take off burner, put in tea bags, let steep 4 minutes.
