It doesn't matter what your app scans its a 3rd party app and we do not honor it....It wouldn't have been an argument it would have been said and we would have been done....and it doesn't matter what another manager does im not another manager....

So I’m a manager at dollar general marketplace…if we see you have penny items before you ring them up, we can deny the items from being sold. So if you go to an employee and they see it’s a penny item, be prepared that you might not be able to buy them.

if you're app scans zero - it should never be exactly zero it should be a penny. but the discrepancy could have been if your store location was not the same as the store location you were at... especially if you have it set for a store that's being remodeled or shut down. Sometimes different locations have different pricing and not all DGs have all the same items.

My local DG matches what the app says! Dip for chips were ringing up $4.95 in the store and $1.60 in the app and she fixed it in the system and told me I got a free box of 12 count individual chips because I bought "X" amount of chip dip.

My app is showing 0 dollars for discontinued freezer items but they have NOT Pennied yet. I bought chicken tenders and wanted to make sure they weren’t a penny (employees can’t buy pennies). It said $0 and not sold at my store

For our store we have to go by what the register says. We can’t price match the app and even if the scanner says 0.01 we can’t change the price. If we do we can get fired. I don’t know how other stores work, I just know how it is in our district.

If the register does not ring it up for a penny, then we cannot sell it for a penny. We are not allowed to change the price to a penny. It doesn't matter what anything else says we have to go by the register
