He couldn’t see past my flaws and faults and I saw past his. That’s why things didn’t work out. Loving him wasn’t enough and he made it seem I wasn’t enough, i’m learning day by day that I am more then enough and deserve better but it still hurts and my trust is completely shattered. But maybe one day I’ll meet a man who’s gentle with his words and who does care. Who truly cares and who loves as deeply as i love. A man that loves me the way God loves me. A man that picks up the broken pieces and puts them back together. A man that puts in the time and effort for me as much as I do for him. A man that wouldn’t leave me in the dark and trap me there. A man that fights for us and never leaves no matter how hard things get. A man that stays more than he leaves. A man that guides instead of following. A man that respects me and doesn’t talk down on me or belittle me. A man that loves his family as much as i do because i know he’ll love mine and respect mine. A man that i can have a godly relationship with and that doesn’t criticize or find God cringy. A man that truly loves with his soul and his spirt. Maybe one day I’ll find all those things in a man but until then I’ll just be here praying and getting closer to God while healing and learning to trust again.
