FOR 25 YEARS, I PUT MYSELF LAST. I don’t want to spend the next 25 doing the same. I raised three children. I got really good at making sure everyone else had what they needed. My own needs? Those could wait. Until I reached my 50s and asked myself: If I keep putting myself last... when does my turn actually come? Today, I’m 59, dancing next to my 29-year-old son. ❤️ I’m not trying to be his age. I want the strength and energy to keep making memories at mine. These 3 things became non-negotiable: 1. 💪 Building muscle instead of always trying to get smaller. I strength train because I want a body that can carry me through my 60s, 70s and hopefully many years beyond. The goal isn’t to take up less space. It’s to keep showing up for the life I love. 2. 🧬 Paying attention to what’s happening on the inside, too. NAD+ is naturally present in our cells and plays an important role in cellular energy metabolism. I made NAD+ part of my daily routine, alongside training, nutrition and recovery. 3. 😴 Giving myself permission to rest BEFORE everything was done. There was always another chore. Another person who needed something. I stopped making sleep and recovery wait until everyone else was taken care of. And if I could tell my 40-year-old self one thing? START SOONER. YOU DESERVE CARE NOW. You don’t have to wait until the kids are grown. Until life slows down. Until you’ve given everyone else every last piece of yourself. The woman you’ll be at 50, 60 and 70 deserves a place on your list today. My son is 29. I’m 59. And I hope we’re still doing ridiculous dances together for years to come. That’s what healthy aging means to me. ❤️ Curious which NAD+ I personally use? The link is on my profile 💖 #womenover40 #womenover50 #healthyaging #GlowUp
