@brandonod18: If you want to build bigger shoulders here are 3 technique cues with the lateral raise to help⬇️ ✅Raise the DBs slightly in front of you ✅Keep the side delt pointed to the ceiling ✅Control the weight and be smooth ❌Don’t raise the DBs straight out to the side ❌Avoid letting the shoulders externally rotate ❌Don’t let the traps take over and swing the weight The lateral raise is one of the best exercises of all time when it comes to building bigger shoulders. But your form has to be locked in to get the maximum benefit. Lower the weight if you have to and gradually apply progressive overload as strength increases. wouldn't that activate some front delt i mean its called a lateral raise for a reason. if your traps are activated lower the weight no ego lift.

How can you know for sure that you’ll never build bigger shoulders if you don’t do it your way? The only way to test this would be to start with two 98 pound weaklings and have one of them do it this way and one of them do your way and see which one grows bigger. Any exercise you do is gonna be a beneficial for the muscle.

Good video, I always try going heavy and until failure with my workouts and for lateral raises I do always use my traps to bring up that heavy weight so I guess going a little lighter but having that proper form is obviously better

my question is when I've seen lateral raise machines most of the time they have people do them with their arms at a 90 degree and facing forward and it seems your shoulder is stronger in that position so why don't ppl do that w dumbbells
