Even if it wasn't perfectly nutritious, when you are in survival mode, any food is better than no food ❤️

Way to many people believe protein only comes with meat.

Fed is better than dead. If people are trying to survive on $5 for a family of four there are obviously greater concerns than freaking macros

“Guess I won’t feed my family today, since someone on the internet says it’s not enough protein.” 🙄 You’re an awesome human, Chef Moe. Way to help people with kindness and dignity!

The people who leave those comments have clearly never been in a position where $5 is the MOST you can spend to feed your family. I know my parents would have killed for recipes like the ones you make when I was a kid. your videos help more than your know🖤🖤

if I've got $5 for dinner, going to bed with a hot, comforting meal in everyone's belly is my first priority. but these meals have a protein, a starch and usually a vegetable, and a lot of the packaged foods are fortified. nutritionally, they're pretty good

Also, if you’re spending $5 out of necessity, the goal is to stay alive, not focus on macros and nutrition. Once you make more than staying alive, then you can focus on balance and variety.

Thanks, Chef Moe — you’re like the Dollar Tree Dinner lady. My hero in these crazy times of feeling helpless in the face of skyrocketing food prices.

It’s so impressive the meals you’re making for $5 but I also love how cognizant you are that people may not be able to afford spices. I’m learning so much about how to make flavorful food without actual spices. Thank you!

So many families nowadays, let their kids eat Ramen noodles. You’re doing an amazing job.

Anyone who is critizing you, hasn’t ever had to feed their family on $5 or $10. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s worthwhile.

You made a meal with a small budget. It isn't cheap to buy fresh veggies and lean meat. I think you are doing great with small buget.

The most important thing on super limited budgets is enough calories and enough bulk. This is going over and above.
