I’m a lawyer. I am regularly asked if I am the court reporter. No shade on court reporters, as they perform vital functions for the court system and are some of the most professional people I work with. It would just be nice if no one made assumptions about my role.

Still happens. Dentist. Even when I clearly state my profession, it mostly goes exactly like that: „u mean dental assistant!“ they are lecturing me on my daily work. 🧐
