Here's what my research & experiments showed: ✨ CAMERA APP This had the sharpest quality by far!! You can toggle between 1080 and 4K. However -- my skin wasn't as "flawless" or "blurred". This app is great for recording lifestyle content -- aesthetic shots where you need sharp quality. ✨ IG EDITS APP Surprisingly great quality! You can ALSO record in 4K (something TikTok can't do yet!). You can also do green screen videos & photos too. It had less saturation than the Camera app, but more than TIkTok. ✨ TIKTOK APP In terms of camera quality, it has the least *saturation* so the colors aren't as strong. BUT - there are way more filters and effects in the TikTok editing app. So what should you do?! I actually use 2-3 workflowd, depending on the content I'm creating. WORKFLOW #1: - Film in Camera app. Edit the footage in CapCut. WORKFLOW #2: - Film in TT app. Edit inside the app. If I figure out how to consistently use IG Edits, I'll do a tutorial :')
