you may want to just keep a go bag down stairs with flash lights, snacks, water and a change of clothes. especially when the baby gets here. I have a bag with everything for all 3 kids, important paperwork and I always put my purse in my bag if we have a warning, that way if by chance my car makes it we can go to it for power. I also throw our shoes in the bathtub when there is a possibility for a bad storm.
