Not necessarily to find God but to do God’s will. He called Moses where Moses was at. Same with many. However, He has answered every woman’s prayer in the Bible. Woman are the mothers to His children. He holds them very dearly!

That depends on person… God met also men where they were. Jesus met Peter where he was, when he was simply fishing. Also there are examples of women on journey trying to find God / to be healed. One woman who had been ill for twelve years pushed through the crowd to touch Jesus’ garment. Another example is the Canaanite woman, who came to Jesus and asked for her daughter to be healed. They had to go to Him so that they or their relative could be healed. So it’s not true that only men go on journeys to find God, women did too.
