Step 1: Plan your layout Decide where you want light and what type: – Spotlights for trees or your house – Path lights for walkways Then count how many fixtures you’ll need. Step 2: Choose your system Make sure you have: – Light fixtures – Low-voltage wire – A transformer that can handle the total wattage I used a kit that already included the transformer to keep it simple. Step 3: Lay everything out Place your lights where you want them first. Then run the wire from your outdoor outlet to each fixture. 👉 Don’t plug anything in yet. Step 4: Connect the lights Attach each fixture to the main wire using the connectors that come with your kit. (No complicated wiring—most just clamp on.) Step 5: Test before burying Now plug in the transformer and turn everything on. Walk around at night and adjust your light positions and angles. Step 6: Final install Once you’re happy with the placement: – Secure the wires (you can lightly bury or tuck them under mulch) – Set a timer on your transformer so it turns on automatically ✨ Done! You just upgraded your outdoor space in a few hours—and it makes a huge difference at night.
