I've been saying this for years. Stereotypes are, observations of pattern recognition over a period of time. If you went to a predominantly 'white trash' neighbourhood, they'd have their shade with tags on, because that's what get stolen regularly. Facts and statistics aren't racist.

Also consider that the ones with the security tags may very well be the ones that are not selling as quickly or being restocked as frequently. When I worked in retail, we'd get a delivery and we had a finite number of security tags. We'd tag the whole delivery and put it out. Then people would come in and buy the products and the tags or security boxes would end up all over the shop. But we were told to restock daily so we'd just put out stock with different security tags or without tags because noone had bothered collecting up all the ones from the purchased products. So it's likely that the ones with security tags are from the original delivery and just haven't sold as many units as the other ones.
