Josphat did his KCSE last year, did very well and got a university admission. But there was one problem: Sh250,000 in fees. His parents couldn’t afford it. So the 19-year-old did what any determined youth would do: he started hawking boiled eggs to raise his own university fees. An uphill task by all means. 250K is a lot of eggs. Josphat's plight even reached mainstream media, with Citizen TV airing his story calling for help from.well wishers. But God works in mysterious ways. At the Guardian Angels School bus handover event on Wednesday, 29 July 2026 (yesterday), 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗡𝗷𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗠ū𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮, the incoming MP for Gichūgū, met Josphat and heard his story. And he was touched by the boy's situation and his determination. Today, we're proud to announce that Hon. Njomo has fully sponsored Josphat for his Bachelor of Arts (Education) degree at Karatina University. Josphat, go make Gichūgū proud. Your hustle has not been in vain.
