Blood tests confirmed acute kidney injury (renal failure) caused by toxin ingestion. Right now, Duke is fighting for his life. His kidneys are struggling to filter waste from his body. He is on: • Intensive IV fluid therapy to flush toxins • Renal-support medications • Anti-nausea and gastroprotective drugs • Daily blood chemistry monitoring (BUN & Creatinine levels) Acute kidney failure is life-threatening, but with aggressive treatment in the first 72 hours, recovery is possible.
