As someone who has Chigiri and Kunigami as her favs, who were apart of the main cast at the begging of the show, the author just dgaf abt them anymore it's just Rin, Reo and Nagi that they focus on the most. It's makes me really upset tbh, like why tf is Chigiri always replaced EVERY. DAMN. SECOND HALF?! They don't even give him any role or screentime when he's on the field.

EXACLTYYYYY 💔 i was mortified when kunigami disappeared for so long and kaneshiro does this constantly with him. he's a wonderful, intriguing character with already some development and backstory, and yet he's consistently sidelined!!! we know so little about him!! same with shidou, although he's popular we have little information about him. if their rivalry had been explored and showcased properly, it would have been beneficial for the growth of both characters

Kaneshiro has a problem writing multiple characters and developing them in that one match, thats why in a match he always focuses on like 2-3 people at most when it comes to writing, and it just so happened that it was a Isagi, Rin, and Kaiser focus

I don’t think it’s kaneshiros fault completely, w such a broad and complex character lineup it genuinely is hard to delve into many characters dynamics or background without taking away from the main plot and football itself

i feel like there's a way to fix it if we get a proper kunigami and wildcard kunigami backstory later that would explain why he shut down every connection (friends or rivals like chigiri and shidou) in his life

SOOOOO REAL. I fear that everytime a possible rivalry is introduced, it goes to a waste because none of them is Isagi. I can promise that other rivalries that don’t involve the protagonist can be as interesting as the one where Isagi is part of it

I really hope they redeem kunigami bc he went to legit my fav character in the first and second selection to one of my most hated characters. He’s so emo and it’s such bad writing on his part 💔
