I don't believe in god because I don't get the concept of being damned just because we're alive, religion sounds nothing more than an attempt to control people. Because out of everything else that lives with us, why are we the only ones to be damned? To be "sinful" when theres animals on the planet that do the same things as us whether you want to admit it or not. I don't believe in hell or heaven, I believe in either the seize of existence or a place that every soul will go to to reconnect with those once lost. It makes absolutely no sense for us to be punished for existing in a world we didn't even choose, and to pray to something we don't even know exist because everything is out of "blind faith." For all the Christians out there, im not attacking, but genuinely think about how crude it sounds for us to be considered sinners at birth for merely coming into a world and expecting to work for our salvation when we were simply born to just be. To be free, to live, to create, to love. No religion sounds right, they only sound like control.

Jesus Christ is not a “coping mechanism.” There are many reasons that He is the best, most reasonable and reliable way. I love Joe and watch him periodically, but I feel like he’s never really delved into other faiths past what feels right, which many people do. I mean no offense to these people, that’s me plenty of times, but this is more important than a quick glance. This is life. YOUR life. IF there is a God, despite the vastness of the universe and how small we are in comparison, wouldn’t it be absolutely spectacular if He loved you?

I think the solution is not forcefully trying to convert someone but just asking someone about it or trying to strike up a conversation about theology with them to hopefully try to convert them rather than not believing in god or accepting that that person is going to hell and not doing anything to try and stop it

death is not a good thing but a life without death is similarly bad. an infinite life without purpose is much worse than a temporary life with the time constraints of death. we are lucky to have something so valuable.
