These stats aren’t correct. She’s trying to say the highest DV is 2 women and that’s a blatant lie. When asking bisexual and lesbian women their DV background they found those groups of women faced higher DV….majority by men. Not other women. If her argument was really solid, she wouldn’t need to lie and manipulate statistics to try to prove a point.

Women are more likely to report abuse, but in heterosexual relationships men are statistically responsible for the most severe harm and fatalities, that’s part of the same data you’re referencing. Higher divorce rates among women (and female couples) don’t mean worse relationships, it reflects who is more likely to leave when unhappy. Women initiate most divorces overall, so naturally two women increases the likelihood that one will walk away. The reasons aren’t just “boredom” they consistently include unequal emotional and domestic labour, lack of support, infidelity, and communication breakdown. On child maltreatment, women appear more in neglect statistics largely because they are the primary caregivers. Men, however, are more likely to be responsible for severe physical abuse and SA. That distinction MATTERS. Mental health and social media stats are also more complex than you’ve presented. Men are significantly less likely to report mental health struggles, yet have much higher suicid3 rates so framing women as simply “worse” is inaccurate. This isn’t about blaming men or women. It’s about not cherry-picking data to push a one-sided narrative.

Hey so did you actually read the study? Because if you did you would’ve seen that even for women who date other women it was previous relationships with MEN that were responsible for DV, not the women
