For Anyone Wondering; This is the controversial ending of the 2014 Canadian Chess Championship involving players Bindi Cheng and Aman Hambleton. Even though in official FIDE rules, you can actually stop the clock to find a second queen if one isn't available, Hambleton didn't do this and instead used an upside-down rook, which the arbiter technically ruled as a rook promotion, leading to his loss. Video evidence later confirmed Cheng was indeed hiding the queen in his hand, but the tournament result was never reversed. ♟️🚫
(P.S. Former gambler here and started a savings challenge to buy my mum a house. The box if filling up past my expectations!) 🏠😍
