So much wrong with what he said. These two ships are a wartime asset that we exercise during peacetime to keep the ship functional and the massive staff trained. Yes, the US uses it for diplomacy as a secondary benefit. Fun fact, it was activated and alerted to go to NYC on 9/11. Was later decided it wasn’t needed as there were so few people that lived.
