@hiphopofthe90s: Biggie appeared on “The Wake Up Show” with Sway & King Tech on March 1, 1997, and that appearance is widely remembered as one of his final radio appearances with a freestyle. 👀 By that point, Biggie had already released “Ready to D*e” in 1994, the album that introduced records like “Juicy,” “Big Poppa,” and “One More Chance” and established him as one of rap’s biggest names. His second album, “Life After D*ath”, followed later that month, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and produced records like “Hypnotize,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” and “Sky’s the Limit.” “The Wake Up Show” itself also mattered in hip-hop because it became one of the key radio spaces where freestyles, interviews, and live bars helped document artists outside of their official albums and singles. 💯 What’s your favorite Biggie verse ever? 🤔⁉️ 📸 Via: Larry Busacca (IG/lbusacca) 🎥 Via: The Wake Up Show (IG/worldfamouswakeupshow) #rap #hiphop #rapmusic #hiphopmusic #music
