They’re not spying on you. Your phone is. I have a profile with no picture and a fake name. I still get suggestions of people I know. One of the suggestions is my sister who I haven’t talked to in about 10yes. There’s no way possible she’d know that was one of my accounts. Your phone knows who you work with, who you’re related to, etc. Let’s not make ourselves look overly important. People aren’t thinking about us the way we want them to.

I think it’s proximity. Our phone tracks us and I worked out with my coworker for an hour. We were moving around but together. She popped up in my suggested friends a day later.
