It’s hard, when everything needs good credit for example, buying a house, buying a car, renting etc. unless u make a lot to put down payments, which in itself is a bit difficult with this economy

I only use it when I need a rental car or hotel, as they only accept credit cards. I pay it off immediately after my stay and deactivate the card.

interest is deeply ingrained. even if you get a debit card and somehow your account goes into negative, you have to pay an interest fee for going in that zone. we can only minimize riba, not completely avoid it

Thank you for the reminding us. Some hotels don't let you check in if you don't have credit card. It's okay to have credit card, but don't use it like your debit card and forget to pay it off. May almighty Allah makes it easy for us. Aameen

I use credit card in Canada but I don’t deal with riba. I pay the full amount right away before any interest hits. It’s just for convenience not borrowing

Walah I always see those who promote credit cards at the stores and they always beg me to get one. I always tell them that I am muslim and I don't use credit cards for religious reasons then they understand and leave. I never get one since I came to Canada Alhamdulilah.

Or how about, pay it on time and your chilling? You need a credit card, there’s so many benefits especially if it’s an air travel credit card, travel benefits, hotel benefits, points, cash back, etc. It’s not a riba product if you just pay it off in time, aswell you need a good credit score, so add that on top

I disagree. you should use it but responsibly. if you have no credit you can't even get a rental apt. I make 600/yr in cashback and rewards that they pay for.
