@bearpowk: Please don’t pack bulky clothes for cold weather travel, save some space #travel #traveltips #packingtips #coldweather #minimalisttravel #onebag #backpacking
Uniqlo sucks for negative temps. Pack an equally thin 100% merino wool base layer. Thicker merino/cashmere mid layer. 1-2 midlayers. N heavier windproof outer layer. This was my -20 capsule

I spent Nov-Feb in Tokyo and my system was: HeatTech Ultra Warm, Fleece Jacket, Puffer Vest, Packable Rain Jacket. I love the vest because my body runs hot and my arms can still breathe through the fleece

Don't like me, I don't care :
as a person who has traveled over 33+ nations. just pack your old clothes, and then for every new piece you buy, throw one away.

thanks. I watched all your tik toks just now. what you did well was get to the point right away, and the total time of any video is short. I also travel with just a back pack and do many of the same things. I've learned a few ideas from you, so I'm off to shopping soon. Thanks again.

I do that, and use the packed puffer as a lumbar pillow. I thermal underwear, a tshirt, a cashmere sweater, on the plane. My outerwear is folded flat in my backpack. Recently went from Bangkok (34°) to Stockholm (-13). It was Bitter!

For proper cold (-18) you want one big long thick coat. Korea has this *down* sure thermals etc but one good coat and youre sorted

Mmmh probably for 5-12 d c. Anything lower than that to negative you need more than that I suppose

for -25 n below, wear better quality long john like merino wool. Wear outer layer that blocks wind n rain. Middle layer should be light yet warm 👌
