This post isn’t encouraging anyone to start using substances. It’s saying that if you’re already struggling with addiction and you’re afraid to quit because your mental health is so low that it feels unsafe, then quitting doesn’t have to be your top priority right now. Getting to a more stable place comes first.

I gave myself permission to hang on while in active addiction. My tolerance level went up exponentially however, I am here and I am now sober. No judgies. I forgave myself ahead of time and then everyday until I got there.

Cannabis keeps me from relapsing benzos. I hold a 4.0 GPA, have a job waiting for me post graduation, already accepted into my higher education program. Thank you for seeing us, we have to do what we can to not fall into that again.
