@mariana4hd: I remind myself every day that my mom wouldn’t want me to put my life on hold for her. But it’s hard not to feel guilty about living life when she’s in a nursing home. We found out my mom had Huntington’s disease when I was 9. Now I’m 20. I know she would be at peace knowing I kept living my lifes instead of stopping everything to take care of her. But it's still a weight I carry with me. My mom was so excited when I started nursing school, and even though she doesn't remember I'm in school anymore. It’s hard. The relief lifted when mom passed but the hole in my heart never filled. Thank the stars for children, tho she’d have been the best with them.
