katsuki bakugo is so tough it almost feels like the story had to bend around him just to keep things fair. not in the sense that he’s unbeatable, but in the way he refuses to stay down, refuses to be average, refuses to let anyone define him except himself. calling him the goat isn’t just hype, it’s recognition of how complete he is as a fighter and as a character. first off, his combat ability is ridiculous. his quirk, explosion, isn’t just strong, it’s versatile in a way most people in my hero academia can’t match. he uses it for offense, defense, mobility, and even strategy mid-fight. he’s not just blasting everything in sight, he’s calculating angles, controlling spacing, and adapting in real time. the way he flies through the air using controlled explosions alone already puts him above most fighters, and that’s before you even get into how precise he is. every move has intention behind it. but what really makes bakugo stand out is his mindset. he’s not fighting just to win, he’s fighting to dominate. there’s a difference. he doesn’t settle for being good, he needs to be the best, and that drive pushes him past limits that would break other people. even when he loses, it doesn’t humble him in a way that weakens him, it sharpens him. he takes every failure personally and turns it into fuel. that kind of mentality is dangerous in the best way. and people love to reduce him to just being loud or angry, but that misses the point completely. bakugo is one of the smartest fighters in the series. he reads opponents fast, he understands quirks quickly, and he adjusts without hesitation. in team situations, he doesn’t just rely on others, he elevates the entire plan by forcing things to move at his pace. he’s aggressive, yeah, but it’s controlled aggression. there’s discipline underneath all that fire. what really locks him in as the goat though is his growth. he starts off arrogant, harsh, and honestly hard to like, but instead of staying stagnant, he evolves. he learns what it actually means to be a hero, not just in strength but in responsibility. he still keeps that edge, that intensity, but it becomes focused. he goes from wanting to win for himself to under
