@gen.z.motherhood: Is this the BEST or WORST thing for postpartum?? Comment what your opinion is! I think it’s the best thing, but I believe people should be coming to YOU when you are freshly postpartum (to help with isolation) and you SHOULD go outside and relax as much as you can. Laying down without sitting (too much pelvic floor pressure) is ideal, that’s why your bed is the best option.. unless you have other spots to lay down and sleep while your baby has a safe place to sleep too! #postpartum #pregnant #motherhood #newmom #firsttimemom

You can rest, but 5 days in bed after birth will increase your risk of blood clots. Movement is good for you, and do it however it works for you. But laying in bed for 5 days increases risk of blood clots. No one should be in bed that long without monitoring from a health care professional
