@doctor.bing: Your brain can create real physical changes based on what it expects. If your mind can push your body in the wrong direction… think about what it can do in the right direction #TikTokLearningCampaign #LearnOnTikTok #neuroscience #neurology #brain
Those of us with severe health anxiety already know this 💔

Our brain kinda runs on confirmation. If you constantly think negative, your mind starts to look for proof of that everywhere. Same with positive thinking, it trains your brain to notice different things.

Grief (including the loss of a relationship) wreaks havoc on your brain and body.
The day a loved one dies you are 21x more likely to have a heart attack. If that loved one is your significant other that risk stays high for three months.
Gratitude is fantastic but when it comes to grief, usually you need to feel the emotions of it first before adjusting and being able to integrate your grief (make sense of the new reality, honour your loved one/loss, find meaning in life from the experience of your loved one even though they are gone).

I agree to a point, CBT really helped me with chronic pain, but for ME/CFS, PEM specifically, no amount of positive thinking or redirection will stop it hitting like a freight train.

I have a question, I was experiencing it not long ago. I was lying in bed, and all of a sudden it feels like my ears were pulsing, my eyelids started getting droopy, I was losing the ability to move my body, and it’s hard to explain but it all felt like my head was pulsing
