anyone else not have just weekends recently? Constantly having 3-4 day drills. Then the week long drills catch up twice a year, then AT. feels a lot more than what they say before you sign up. Might be different from state to state.

Resetting is always hard. Drills make me so stressed and coming back to my civilian job in a Monday is always rough. 😭

Completely understand this. I felt this same way sometimes when I worked my 12 hr hospital night shifts and doing my weekend drills. Sometimes I felt like a zombie but it’s all worth it in my opinion

Nobody understands this form of burn out but guard/reservist. I got out after being on staff bc I couldn’t take it anymore. They offered me command in Hawaii, but being a staff officer on top of being a project manager was miserable. This struggle isn’t talked about enough no matter where you’re serving.
