@noworganizing: One thing I see all the time… midlife women don’t realize how much their clutter is weighing on them emotionally. At some point, it starts to feel heavy, and not just physically. It’s always sitting there in the back of your mind, whether you’re in the space or not. So you try to tackle it all at once. You pull things out, start making decisions, and then it gets overwhelming fast, so you stop. And then it stays exactly the same. That’s the cycle I see in so many homes. That’s exactly why I created Decluttering With Joy. It’s the step-by-step system I use to help you move through spaces like this without getting stuck or starting over. Which point hits for you? ✈️ Share with someone that needs to know. In my bio is a your guide...ready for a clear plan. #decluttering #midlife
Downsizing now for retirement in a few months. I told my husband that we’re just getting a dumpster. We’re not spending time trying to sell everything.

A very wise man spoke to my soul when he said “There is no sentimental items, only sentimental people “. And I gave everything away. Never going to get the money back I spent. But one closet to go and my children can load my house up in 1/2 day and 1 uhaul, when I am no longer here.

My mother had a few very small collections easily given away to friends or donated.i don't really collect anything except travel stickers on my suitcases. It is very freeing to not own a lot. I enjoy looking at things in museums or handmade shops but don't need to own

I deep clean the house once a year. I purge everything that doesn't have a purpose. I've had my kids clean out their childhood boxes and take whatever they want to keep. The house is more organized and easier to keep clean. And after filling two roll offs at my parent's house when it was sold, I swore I'd never do that to my kids!

‘Collections’ are a scam. Mass produced items are extremely unlikely to be worth anything in the future.
