It’s not an overpay from the position they were drafting. The top 5 defensive positions will be gone by then and it drops off significantly. This fills a major hole for a team that had little pass rush and couldn’t stop the run

U are forgetting the giants have no one on the interior d-line now. Huge hole and the giants had a historically bad run defense last season. I hope they address the IDL soon
