They’re cutting back on budget, america is leaning into a conservative mono-culture right now. Corporate WOW probably thinks that the franchise won’t be as profitable in the near future so now they’re maximizing profit margins as much as they can by cutting off creatives and budget while the show can still earn money and garner audiences

I’m tired of people saying it’s not that deep. WE KNOW! It’s a tv show. But IN THE CONTEXT OF THIS BEING A SHOW, Drag Race has set the precedent of promos being a big deal. THEY did that. So when they suddenly decide to recycle a theme, that’s something to notice. It’s lazy marketing and already sets the stage for what we’re likely in for (some lazy bs that they slapped together). They didn’t even put in effort. And no spoilers, but based off what I heard, this season is absolutely going to be more bs and shenanigans.

I think all stars should return to an old format or find another format, and then tournament of all stars should be its own series and replace global all stars. I think an all stars with that many queens would be a perfect fit for an international type all stars, potentially with even 4 brackets. With all stars having 18 queens and the regular seasons having 12-14 on average, if they keep doing a US Tournament of All Stars every year, they’re gonna run out of new contestants.
