@sumsofanarchyofficial: A little exercise for you… 🤓 Can you prove it for three-digit numbers by writing them as 100A+10B+C? What about four-digit numbers? What about any-digit numbers?? 🤯 Reel referenced: @knoxstudy👌🏽 👉For more number nine magic, check out our game-changing Times Tables book. It covers the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ of the times tables, with easy-to-understand explanations, loads of guided examples and practice questions, fun illustrations, and of course a healthy dose of silly jokes 🤪 It’ll help you conquer your times tables the Sums of Anarchy way. Find it on our website or comment TABLES for a link to purchase ❤️ “I bought 3 books for my 7 1/2 year old granddaughter. She is enjoying the multiplication book so much that she wants to do the division book & build a business at the same time! If I had know she would love them so much I would have hidden the other 2 books!”⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I was worried my Granddaughter would not be interested … so I just left it on the dining room table. She saw it immediately and asked … she jumped right in and did 29 pages without stopping.”⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “The lessons were clear and fun and managed to engage my daughter who hates maths and was struggling with her times tables. Now she keeps asking me to quiz her to show off her new skills and confidence. As an accountant I learned loads too which was amazing!”⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ➕ ➖ ✖️ ➗ #mathstricks #mathhacks #funfacts #trivia
this feels like an artifact of a base 10 number system

my first instinct isn't to find a number that proves it wrong, it's to find an underlying reason why it's real.

The condition that the number be greater than nine is superfluous, since 0 is divisible by 9.

In base 8, it would be divisible by 7, in base 16, it would be divisible by F 😁 and so on.

I have one I found way back. if you square a single digit, or split apart multiple digits to multipy them together, it ends up on 8 which circles itself.
6×6=36
3×6=18
1×8=8
while 8×8=64
6×4=24
2×4=8

Proof: This can be extended. The base 10 number system works magic as subtraction of a digit equal to place value digit actually makes the resulting value a multiple of 9.

Also works for whole numbers less than 9, you get zero which is a multiple of 9.

Otherwise to calculate x in 9x=558 without a calculator
9*100=900, 900/2=450 ->9*50=450 450+90=540 540+18=558=558
9(50)+9(10)+9(2)=558->9(62)=558
x=62
