@b_liman: Where Exactly Is Liquidity Sitting? ๐ This is what most retail traders never learn. Liquidity is not random. It pools at the same places every single time: ๐
Monthly Swing Highs & Lows โ the biggest pools on the chart. Institutions target these for major reversals and long-term moves. ๐
Weekly Swing Highs & Lows โ where mid-term positions are loaded. These get raided regularly at the start of new weekly sessions. ๐
Daily Swing Highs & Lows โ where most retail swing traders place their stops. Easy targets for daily manipulation. โฑ๏ธ Swing Highs & Lows on ANY timeframe โ H4, H1, M15, M5. Every timeframe has its own liquidity. The lower the timeframe, the more precise the raid and the faster the reversal. โ๏ธ Range Highs & Lows โ when price consolidates, buy stops stack above the range high and sell stops stack below the range low. Price will raid one side before making the real move. ๐ฐ Equal Highs & Equal Lows โ this is one of the most powerful setups in Smart Money. Two or more candles that touch the exact same high or low. Retail traders see double tops and double bottoms. Smart Money sees a liquidity magnet. Price will sweep those equal levels, grab the stops, and reverse. ๐ถ IRL โ Internal Range Liquidity (FVG) โ Fair Value Gaps sitting inside a price range. These are imbalances left behind during strong displacement moves. Price returns to these gaps not because of "balance" but because liquidity โ resting orders โ sits inside them. Breaking Down Each Type ๐ Swing High & Low Liquidity Every time price makes a swing high, retail traders place sell stop orders just above it โ breakout traders trying to catch the momentum. Those stops are liquidity. Institutions raid that level, trigger all those orders, fill their own sell positions at the best price, then drive price down. Same in reverse for swing lows. You've seen this happen a hundred times. Now you know why. Range High & Low Liquidity When price is consolidating in a range, it is not resting. It is building. Every bounce off the range high stacks more sell stops above it. Every bounce off the range low stacks more buy stops below it. When institutions are ready to make their move, they sweep one side of the range โ sometimes both โ before launching the real directional move. The breakout traders who chased the sweep get trapped. Their pain becomes the fuel. Equal Highs (EQH) & Equal Lows (EQL) Two equal highs on your chart is not a resistance zone. It is a target. Smart Money knows exactly where retail has placed stops above those highs. The more times price touches a level without breaking it, the more stop orders pile up just beyond it. When you see EQH or EQL forming, you are literally watching liquidity being built in real time. Mark it. Wait for the raid. Trade the reversal. IRL โ Internal Range Liquidity (FVG) This is the most advanced concept in this series. A Fair Value Gap is a three-candle formation where a strong displacement candle moves so fast that it leaves an imbalance โ a gap where price never traded. That gap contains unfilled orders. Institutions will return price to that FVG to fill those orders. When an FVG sits inside a larger price range between the External Range Lows (ERL), it becomes Internal Range Liquidity. Price will seek that IRL before making its next move toward the external targets. The One Rule That Ties It All Together Price always moves from one liquidity pool to another. Your entire job as a Smart Money trader is to identify WHERE the next liquidity pool is, HOW price is likely to get there, and WHEN to enter after a raid is confirmed. Stop placing your stops at obvious levels. Stop chasing breakouts at equal highs and lows. Start reading the chart the way institutions do โ as a map of where orders are hiding. #liquidity #fyp #forexeducation #trading #smc
