You need vinyl transfer tape. It’s sooo much easier. Scotch 3M is too strong for vinyl application.

That's strong tape. you need something else to transfer it onto the mirror. My wedding is coming up in 3 months I also did something like this

You need to use tape with LOW tack. Almost like glue on sticky note.

You need transfer tape and your peeling from the same angle every time. Try a different angle
