@goliathliftzz: In 1949, Bob Peoples deadlifted 725 lbs… at 181 lbs bodyweight. No perfect setup, ideal conditions or even a proper gym. So instead of waiting for things to line up, he did something most people wouldn’t even consider today — he built his own system. He dug a hole in the ground so he could start with heavier weight over a shorter range… then slowly filled it back in over time, forcing that same weight to move further and further until it reached the floor. The lack of resources made him the best deadlifter in history to many strength fans. That’s what stands out. Because today, we have everything — better equipment, better information, endless programs — and somehow that’s made things more complicated, not less. More options, opinions, reasons to wait for the “perfect” setup - which ultimately lead to more excuses. Meanwhile, a guy with a bar and a hole in the ground figured it out decades ago. So it makes you think: was it really about the resources? or just what he chose to do with them? #bobpeoples #strengthtraining #trainhardorgohome #goliathliftzz #oldschoolstrength
