I was in public school until about halfway into the 7th grade. As someone that experienced both at an age I could evaluate both I’ll say I learned more on a single Tuesday morning before lunchtime hit sitting in my pjs on the couch than I did in an entire semester in a public classroom. If actually learning is the end goal hands down homeschooling is the best option.

We homeschooled. Loved every minute of it. Found a great co-op in Nashville that met once a week. My daughters went to university, graduated with honors and have made a nice life for themselves. I wouldn’t change a thing and am damn glad the state didn’t have a thing to do with it.

My granddaughter is 14, she was home schooled and is receiving her HS diploma in 2 months with a 3.7 gpa. Home schooling is the way to go.

Private schools are better than public for a better education but still have unsavory activities. I used to explain it this way when my kids attended private school: my kids are offered pharmaceutical grade drugs as opposed to public schools. Sad but true!

I am 48 yrs old and I was homeschooled from 7th grade to 12th. Did I enjoy it? Not really. As a adult I am very blessed that I was. School was just hard for me. Very thankful for my mom doing that.
