Please tell me this - is it one and done with asparagus or does harvesting promote more growth? This will be my first year harvesting asparagus and I’m curious to know when you snap off the stalk, I assume the stalk remaining in the ground won’t continue growing but will it force another stalk to push up beside it? Is that what you’re harvesting?

I just bought some asparagus bulbs to plant. I hear they spread pretty well so I’m trying to figure out where to put them in my yard.
