My son is 6 and he just said “sometimes daddy is a good person and sometimes he’s a bad person” and that hit so hard. I’m so proud he’s learning that difference and coming to terms with the truth but I hate that this is his reality

My mom left me at home for a week every summer to watch my brothers telling me she was vacationing with her boyfriend. At their wedding his son spoke about all the summer vacation memories they made as a family. I haven’t spoken to her for 4 years now. The truth is she didn’t want to be with her kids she wanted to pretend to be family with someone else’s kids
