I have mixed feelings about this. I was violently sa'ed when I was eleven. I seldom speak of it because I am ashamed of it. It rewired my brain to distrust everyone including my parents. that coupled with the fact that I'm on the spectrum it made me keep my distance and my hands to myself. I have NEVER invaded another human beings space without explicit permission. I have no close friends because of my experience it's just too painful to speak about with anyone. I can't get close to anyone I can't trust anyone I can't depend on anyone. I just want to be alone. it's safer for me safer for y'all just safer for everybody.

SA victims are “on trial“ as much as the perpetrators are and that needs to change. The victims have to recount their story over and over and over again in front of attorneys, judges, spectators, juries, and I can’t begin to imagine how daunting that is when you feel so ashamed yourself. The patriarchy and misogyny has created a system that blames the victim, especially if it’s a female. So many changes are needed in the judicial system.
