Depends on the car. Polo Vivo I would buy, cheap service cheap mantainance you lose your job you still mobile. BMW I lease expensive to repair and mantain not worth keeping in the long term

Due to the nature of my work, I rent a car. I pay 6k a month for a 2025 Swift and do about 3000 in mileage a month. Petrol is on me and the rest is on the rental company, service, tyres the works. It works out cheaper for me because I'd pay more if I owned the vehicle(PS: I've owned more than one vehicle )

If you’re buying a new Chinese-brand car or a BMW/Mercedes, leasing is probably the smarter option. These cars can lose value hard after the first two years and later maintenance can end up costing more than the car is worth

My chommie, I have to disagree with you on this one. Leasing is generally more expensive than servicing car financing because the lessor has to recover all the incidental costs. Buying a car (either on finance) has its benefits including ownership at the end, more flexibility on usage, and long-term cost savings once the loan is settled. Repayments build equity and reduce your loan over time. Lease fees are just a cost for use, with no asset at the end.

bought my car 2022 as a demo of 2021 model, put on some deposit. No Ballon.Installment was good. 1st time I pay for service was 2025.Its now sitting at 80k km & fully paid . I'm planning for my next big purchase .

Leasing is not a good idea, if you choose to take the car back, they will charge you for any damage, on seats, the rims, and scratches, they will make you pay for all that, also after you took it back you lost the chance to own the car fully, pay till you finish the instalment and own the car and drive for free, this guy is payed to say this and make you people make bad decisions, research before you agree on this mambo jambo,
