I do not blame you! My husband was fed allergy meds from childhood to mid twenties and it was just a bandaid that caused a ton of health issues. He finally started allergy shots about 5 years ago and he does feel better, but its not an instant fix like some people think.

I’m just saying that I have a severe allergy to dogs and an air purifier really does help I don’t sneeze or anything with an air purifier. There was other options that you could’ve looked into, but I’m glad that you guys found a good home for the dog.

Make sure to change out the HVAC filters, oven vent filter, and clean the air vents/ air return. Those and baseboards are dog hair magnets
