Love the project but hate to be the bearer of bad news. You needed to do a lot more prep work before laying those bricks down. They’re going to shift and move so much like that. You’re going to be redoing it next year

I’ve got 24 handmade bricks from the 1600s that have moved to probably 20 houses with me. They always make a little square for an herb garden, but my husband knows I am not leaving my bricks!

I would buy one new one and have my family's names and the date of putting the brick down on it. So that the next family that lives there can replace one old back with a new one to pass on the beautiful life of that brick floor.
