I have felt this way for half my life. Mine died when I was 15, and he’s been gone for 15 years now. There’s people out there in their 60s and 70s that still have both of their parents, and it makes me so angry. How did I only get 15 years with him? And now I can’t even remember what his voice sounded like.

I can’t handle weddings… father daughter dances take me out for the count. At my baby shower I cried because my husband had his dad and all I wanted was for my dad to be there too. It’s infuriating but also I feel like I can’t be mad because they did nothing wrong. But boy do I get jealous so easily. Even after 17 years.

I lost both my grandparents by 2nd grade and my dad when I was in 7th grade. I'm in my 30s and not only do i experience that jealousy of people having both parents but it genuinely blows my mind that some still have grandparents
