@stargazing.29: A pulsar is a highly magnetized, rapidly rotating neutron star formed from a supernova remnant, emitting beams of electromagnetic radiation—often radio waves or X-rays—from its poles, creating a "lighthouse effect" observed as regular pulses. #astrophysics #Astronomy #stargazing #fypシ゚viral #foryou

Nothing should be spinning that many times per second.

Let's see. One AVERAGE human blink takes about ~0.1/0.4 seconds, let's assume it takes 0.25 seconds. since you said it spins 716 times a blink, we will see how 'much times it spins a second.' 0.25 x 4 = 1 that means we must do: 716 x 4 which equals: 2864 it rotates around 2864 times a second. let's now identify the Quasar, based on the description, the Quasar's name is PSR J1748-2446ad which's diameter is around 22 km, from my calculations, it would mean that the star is rotating at 0.66 c, which is 66% the speed of light, which would be impossible for the star to spin stably. And also, based on info I gathered, the star rotates 716x a second, and not 716 times a blink, which is ~0.25s. therefore, you are partially wrong.

wrong, this is a sound from a different pulsar that spins around 11 times a second, if this were the real sound it would be at 716 hz, which sounds like a note/hum

not doubting it, just curious. how can we get the sound of it if there's no air/ sound in space?
