@luke.mcginnis23: Co-parenting will humble you real quick. Because it’s not about being right anymore… it’s about what’s right for your kid. There were times I wanted to argue. Prove a point. Win the conversation. But every time I did that… I lost something way more important. Peace. Stability. And the example I’m setting for my son. So I had to make a decision… Do I want to win… or do I want my son to grow up in a healthy environment? Because those are not always the same thing. Burying my ego didn’t make me weak. It made me a better father. And honestly… it gave me a lot more peace too.
hardest thing to do. but the best thing for the child. do this every day and make sure my son knows and sees how we can get along and be there for him!

This is such a great perspective to have. Co-parenting is hard, one of the hardest things I’ve had to navigate. Especially since it’s something that’s always evolving and changing as our kids get older and we move through life. Choosing peace over being right, and showing up with patience, respect, and consistency even when it’s not easy is what gives our kids a healthy environment to thrive in. Great advice!
